RIMpro-Sooty Blotch | |

Sooty Blotch causes fruit damage in (scab resistant) apple orchards that
are not treated with fungicides during summer. The RIMpro-Sooty Blotch
model was developed in 2002, and has been tested on several locations in
Europe. Sooty Bloch control based on the model outcome was effective,
but the trials have also shown that accurate measurement of RH and
periods of leaf wetting is critical to get valid simulation results. The model shows you the infection periods in the lower graph, and the increase in (visible) disease severity in the orchard in the upper graph.
