RIMpro runs under Windows XP if these operating systems has been installed completely and runs without problems.  RIMpro does not run under older Windows versions, and not under Apple Macintosh, Unix, Linux or other operating systems.

Weather station
The RIMpro calculations are driven by weather data. To be able to work with RIMpro you need data that are representative  for your orchard conditions. The files need to be correct and complete from the beginning of the season. In practice this means that you need to have your own weather station connected to your computer, or your computer has access to an other data source by modem or internet on a regularly basis.  RIMpro can read weather data from a file on your computer, or from a page on an Internet server.

Every type of weather station uses its own file structure to store weather data. RIMpro uses interfaces to read an interpret the data correctly. RIMpro has standard interfaces to a series of makes and types of commonly used on-farm weather stations.

RIMpro also supports several uncommon file formats with interfaces specially written to support individual data file types.
