  1. What does RIMpro mean ?
RIM stands for Relative Infection Measure. The results of the RIMpro calculations are not absolute. They are relative to the Potential Ascospore Dose  (PAD) in the orchard, and the relative susceptibility of the apple varieties involved to appelscab. The outcomes of the Sooty Blotch and the Codling Moth model are also relative to the absolute infection pressure in the orchard.

  2. Can RIMpro read climatic information from my weather station ?
No. You have to use the software that belongs to your weather station to transmit the data to your computer in a  for RIMpro usable format.

  3. Can I automate the data transition from my weather station to RIMpro?
The extent to which this is possible depends on your weather station and the provided software. Get in contact with your dealer to sort this out.

  4. How do the RIMpro interfaces work ?
RIMpro has software module to read the data formats from different makes of weather stations called the interface. With the appropriate interface RIMpro reads your climatic data into a RIMpro internal database. Calculations and possible recalculations are made with the data in the internal database. Not with the raw data from your station.

  5. I have a for RIMpro, so fare unknown weather station or data format !
For limited extra costs we ca make an interface for fairly every data format. To check this out, please send us an E mail with your data file attached. We will make you an offer.

  6. What data does RIMpro need ?
RIMpro needs measurements in at least 1 hour intervals, better 30 or 15 minute readings. The following measurements are needed:

    Temperature °C
    Air humidity %
    Precipitation resolution 0,2 mm
Leaf wetness Yes-No,  % , or time in interval *)

*) interpreted in interface during data reading

  7. I have some extra sensors, cab RIMpro use these ?
The calculations for apple scab get even more accurate when your weather station also supplies: light measurements  in Lux or Kw, soil surface temperature, and soil surface wetness data. But for you to be able to use these data in RIMpro, we should program the interface to your data so that these extra values are imported in the program.

  8. Does RIMpro correct missing or corrupt data ?
No. RIMpro works according the long proven principle :
    garbage in: garbage out !

RIMpro can not deliver reliable results based on incorrect data input. It is up to you to see that your weather station is running  well and delivers accurate data.
